Lolita Login 4 - ILD Tea Party

Last Login

Sorry it's been awhile. I haven't had time to do much lolita related, well I haven't had much to do anything other than college related. However yesterday was International Lolita Day (December 5th) and I went to a friend's how for a tea party. It was great to see some of my friends as college has really limited my chances to socialise. We had loads of different foods from sandwiches to cake. And of course loads and loads of tea, my friend has one of the most elegant tea sets too which you are about to see. We also played some cards against humanity and watched creepy films, as you do. It was so much fun, I wore my totter co-ord I showed in my last log in and my new Dream Holic Wig (review), I also wore my cape from Spreepicky (review) as it was cold.

Here is my video from yesterday ~

I really hope I can wear more lolita, however I don't have much money to put towards completing my co-ords so we'll have to see what the new year brings.

What did everyone else do on International Lolita Day?

Lolita Login 3 ~ All dressed up and no where to go

Last Log In

So in my last log in I went through the beginning stages of a new co-ord I was planning. I was also going to celebrate International Harajuku Fashion Walk day with some friends but that ended up being cancelled, though I was upset I still wanted to try everything on~.

So on Wednesday I put everything together and felt pretty cute (´∩ω∩`).

Items I haven't mentioned before are the wig which is from Geisha Wigs/Mermaid Wigs (Review Coming Soon), circle lenses from Oh My Lens (Review Coming Soon) and my Totoro necklace (Review).

I'm thinking of purchasing a grey wig at some point to match this co-ord a bit better but for now this looks okay, I also need to style the fringe in this wig.

Next I'll be looking for a few more accessories for this co-ord, maybe some tights or garters for the socks I wore. Also I may look for a coat, for the colder seasons, or most of the time in England...

Here is a review for the blouse, (Coming Soon) it's so adorable, I'm definitely adapting it into more outfits.

Lolita Logins ~ 2. Totoro Spring Co-Ord

Last Log In

So this year I want to put together at last one proper co-ordinate, I have worn my dresses in outfits before, like at Goth Weekend, however I want to put together a better themed and more intricate co-ord.

Here's my outfit from Goth Weekend, I will be getting stuff for a gothic co-ord with this dress but as it's summer still I'm going to work on my JSK first.

Also I have organised a harajuku walk with some friends for the International Harajuku Day so I have a deadline. The walk is on the 29th, a few days after the actual day but it was the closest I could arrange.

So since my prom, I've purchased a petticoat, though I've been thinking of getting a tutu styled one? But for now, the one I have is fine. I also got some cute lolita socks from CutesyKink so that's another thing off the list.

The main thing I need is a blouse, I dunno how I managed to wear it without a blouse before...
So I the other week I was just chilling on Tumblr and came across this amazing Totoro blouse with a link~

The pink detail would look really cute with my JSK, and Totoro is adorable so I had to have this blouse. However the blouse is long sleeved and it may be warm on the walk so I will postpone this purchase.

On the same shop, I found another Totoro blouse, it's not as matching as the first one, but it's still really pretty and I want to try and make a pink-green-grey co-ord? Something light, and spring looking.

So after purchasing this I went to look for a bag, it's not a 'lolita bag' but it's cute, and fits my co-ord theme and I can use it for a lot of outfits.

I needed something cute that would hopefully fit my camera in it, that's my main worry with lolita bags - most of them seem quite small.

I really want some grey shoes, but I can't find any flat ones that don't take months to ship... I guess black shoes won't ruin the look... I hope.

If you know where I can get any grey flat shoes, love platforms, then please comment, I would really really appreciate it.

Also I thought it'd look nice to have white and green accessories but they'll take awhile to find, but I found a pretty floral headband from Claire's~. There's a Claire's near where we're having the walk so I may pop in to see if they have it on the day.

At the moment I'm staying at my boyfriend's and my sister messaged me saying all my purchases have arrived, including a wig I may or may not include... We'll see. I will be back the day before the walk so not much time to change anything...

Just less than a week to go until I will be trying my attempt at a new co-ord. I hope it looks cute~.

Lolita Logins ~ 1. After 5 Years

Hello and welcome to my new section of my blog, and as you can probably guess it's about the amazing Japanese fashion style named Lolita.

I have known and admired lolita for around 5 years now, I know that is a super long time, but when I first discovered it I really didn't like, and there for didn't care much about, my appearance. I was over weight, which there is nothing wrong with I just didn't like it personally for me, I had loads of spots and my hair just sat there... I did try though, I bought a dress, a Wa Lolita style so it covered a lot but I only wore it about two times and then stuffed it in my wardrobe.

I still loved the style though along with other Harajuku fashion styles, and continued to draw them and blog them on my tumblr.

So a few years later, I was starting to loose weight, looking after myself better, and my hair was becoming pretty awesome. I was going to finish school soon so prom was on the way and of course, I wanted to dress in lolita. I originally wanted a dress form Metamorphose however I understood my parents didn't have much money so I found a site called Milanoo and found a simple, pretty pink JSK that was under £50, one of the cheapest prom dresses I think.

Didn't wear it that great because I ran out of time to buy a petticoat but I still felt confident and kind of cute, I also got compliments; I'm sure I recall one of my teachers saying I looked like a Japanese cartoon character, I loved the compliment.

Now I am in my third year of college, I think I know what I want to do with my life, I want to be a fashion designer, and I want to design lolita dresses into my line. But before I can do so, I need to wear it more.

Now you know the back story, welcome to my lolita logins.
Here I will blog about my journey into lolita fashion.

So far I have two dresses, but nothing I would quite call a co-ordiniate yet.

I also have joined two lolita groups near where I live so hopefully I can make more friends that like the fashion. And I have also joined a UK sales group on Facebook.

So I am trying to complete a co-ord with my JSK, and maybe my Wa dress too, before I purchase a new dress (I also need to save up...).

I have never purchased a well known brand dress but luckily my friend Jenna made a video about it which was super helpful.

Now to save money, search and buy.

March Outfits 2015

I haven't had much to blog about in the past month, I'm currently in the middle of two visual art exams and filming a documentary for my college media course so busy busy busy. Oh and I have been making my first hand made cosplay! I will write a post about that soon, it is almost finished.

So for now another month outfit post. It's properly spring now so getting a bit warmer (I live in England it doesn't get that warm yet...).

So here are my outfits for the past month.

First is my outfit I wore to Majjikon. I have admire Japanese lolita for years now and actually purchased this dress 5 years ago? But only wore it a few times, due to lack of confidence, but this year I really want to wear more lolita so I thought a convention would be a good starting point (plus I had no completed cosplay...).

Next is cosplay related~. This is kind of a 'casual cosplay'. I recently got my wig and lenses (lens review shall be up in the next few weeks) for my Ruby cosplay (I will be cosplaying her to YCC7 and I can not wait) so I wanted to do a costest so to spare time I made it a look for a college one day.

This picture was taken in the toilets at my college, there was a full length mirror so I couldn't resist.
Purple seems to be a colour I have admired a lot more this month... I have a love hate relationship with this cardigan but I think it fitted this outfit nicely.

Batman Top: My sister's so unsure...

Dunno what kind of Kei this would be under but I need to find out so I can search for this style more; I felt super confident wearing this, even though I am still getting used to dresses (XXL shirt).

Not wearing a wig this time; I'm growing my perviously style out so it is kinda a mess but I really liked the colour I had gotten from toning my faded pink hair so just put a beanie on. Again dunno if what kind of Kei this would be classed as?
